God is omnipresent

God is omnipresent

Acts 5: 1-11

Ananias and Sapphira sold their land and brought some money at the apostle's feet. They were pretending as if they had brought all the money. Although they had the right to hold back some amount for themselves, it was a sin to pretend that they had given everything when they had not. As a result both husband and wife die one after the other. We can hide wealth from people but we can never hide anything from God. Ananias and Sapphira didn't die because they had put some money back, but they died because they tried to deceive God. Our God is omnipresent. Everything is transparent before him. God loves us but hates the sin within us.

The hearts of Ananias and Sapphira were very deceptive.  But from the outside they pretended as if they are nice and humble. Aren't we like those two? Trying to impress with our attitude while our inside is very deceptive. God explicitly declares in the Bible, before anointing David as the king of Israel, that God really does not see our outward appearance but our heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)

Our life should be pleasing and acceptable before God's sight.
