My darkness into light

My darkness into light

Yogen sat on the bed staring at his laptop screen. He looked for the ray of hope for another challenging day. It had been a year since his fiancé was killed in a fatal car accident. All his good hopes and his dreams died with his fiancé's death. Many of his plans and dreams died that day. Shadows of darkness, grief, anxiety, and sadness weighed his heart out. He kept searching for something that could boost his mood. Tears rolled down his cheeks  as his heart was heavy by the loss of his beloved. The light of his hope was darkening with every desperate day. A few minutes later he found a message from his friend Marcus.

With his eyesight blurred by tears, Yogen began to read his friend's message-

“Hi Friend,
How are you?
I’m sorry to hear your loss!
Dont loose hope,
God is with you!"

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

That brief message gave him a little boost and He began to wipe out his tears. He felt better this time as he had left behind to find his way back to God when his fiancé died. It had been a year since he had not  prayed or read the Bible.
He got off from his bed, closing the lid on the laptop. He grabbed his Bible and opened the first verse he saw. It said; “You, Lord, are my lamp; the Lord turns my darkness into light.” 2 Samuel 22:29 (NIV)
