Faith demands obedience and submission
One day Farmers of a village were concerned for themselves as they were looking for a rain for a long time. One morning they decided to pray together. They called everyone to join the prayer. As they were about to start praying, they saw a little girl who was carrying an umbrella. This is called true faith with action! It is important for us to place our faith in God but also to show it through our actions. The depiction of Abraham and Rahab illustrates their 'faith in the work'. Abraham was tempted by God to sacrifice his promised son Isaac, but he obeyed God without questioning. Rahab demonstrated her faith in the God of Israel by helping the spies (Joshua 2) hide in her home. Faith demands obedience and submission. When our faith is expressed in obedience and submission to the will of God, we are going to be blessed.
