We need to be clear about "call" and "response"

In the conversation of Jesus with Nicodemus (John: 3: 16) the apostle John writes, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God created the world and He loves it very much. He loves everyone, regardless of their race, religion, or color.  God, in Jesus, came into this world, and gave His life for the whole world, not just only for the Christians. God's master plan to save the world has still not diminished. Anyway, the ball is in our court now but for only those who believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.

We need to be clear about "call" and "response" here. God calls us to follow Him, and to be His disciple. But it completely relies on us whether we “respond” to His call or not. In the New Testament, Jesus' disciples responded to his call. Peter, Andrew, James, and John left their nets behind and followed Jesus. Matthew left his tax collector's booth and followed him. The other disciples had a similar story. Despite the challenges and dangers in their lives, They had never stopped answering the call from God throughout the centuries. The call is still on today and the choice to respond completely depends on us.
