The Joy of following Him
Simon was tired and exhausted at that scene. He worked hard all night but could not catch any fish. Jesus got into the boat and said, "Simon, put out into deep water and cast a net into the water." They were surprised that they caught so many fishes. But later Jesus said to him, "From now on you will catch men." At once he had an option; To continue his old profession of fishing or to leave everything behind and follow Jesus. But without any hesitation he chased Jesus Christ.
Every man and woman of God had their own trying time. A time of conflict, a time of pressure, or a time of decision that transformed them from an ordinary piece of coal into a precious diamond. Simon also went through this kind of mess in his life. But his life changed when he decided to follow Jesus. Like Simon, God has called you and me to leave our net behind and followed him. If we hear his call and follow him in faith, then he will never disappoint us nor let us down. He is the only Lord who can take us towards our destination and provides all our needs.
