It is better to give than to receive

Daily Morning Devotion

Day 5

It is better to give than to receive

Acts 20:35

Acts 20: 33-35

Paul's ministry is an example for us. He went out to the unreached places to preach the gospel. He also raised his support for the mission and evangelism by himself working so hard to earn by his own hand. He did not covet anyone's valuables, but worked hard to meet his own needs and the needs of his friends. He has set an example for us that we should be able to help the weak and the poor through the earning of our hard work and devotion. Finally Jesus shared the words "It is better to give than to receive."

Throughout his ministry, Paul did not covet on the valuables of others, but worked hard, especially he was involved in the tent-making business. From the profits he met the needs of ministerial and his personal need. It is indeed true that giving is more better than receiving. Proverbs 11: 24 says, "A person gives with no hesitation, but earns more; The other hides unnecessarily, but falls into poverty." Paul was also a giver so we must learn to give than to receive. Let us work hard so that we will be able to contribute some on God's mission to accomplish.

Let us say together- We are the Giver than the Receiver.

Amen in the name of Jesus!
