Daily Morning Devotion
Day 7
Fellowship
Fellowship with believers is another important aspect that we must keep in our mind if we want to overcome temptations. One of the strengths of the first-century church is its fellowship. The world is so fascinating and many Christians is getting bored to have a fellowship with believer folks. The Bible emphasizes that fellowship with believers. In fellowship with believers, we encourage one another
(1 Thessalonians 5:11). We encourage each other and stir up each other towards love and good deeds
(Hebrews 10: 24). Just as iron sharpens iron
(Proverbs 27:17), so man sharpens man. Believers must sharpen each other's faith. In fellowship we also bear one another's burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ
(Galatians 6: 2). Therefore, fellowship with believers is a mutually beneficial relationship.
In fellowship we focus more on what is beneficial and pleasing in the eyes of the Lord. Thus, we are safe from falling into temptations. If we don't have believer friends or Christian fellowship group, or a church, then we're missing out such a significant part of our lives. Let us find one, We meet and have fellowship because we are called not to live alone or associate only with the world. We are called to live an interdependent life with the rest of Christ's body. We are just different parts of the same body and no part of us can live in its own. (1 Corinthians 12: 12-26).
