Now get back on track because Jesus is the God of next chance

Jonah disobeyed and ran away from God. Next we learn from his story that he is in the belly of a big fish repenting and praying. In that prayer he finally communicated with God. Another thing that happened to Jonah was that he was vomited by a big fish in the dry land (2:10). What does Jonah do now? Does God ever refuse to use those who reject the call? Doesn't listen to their Word, or letting them to follow the path of their own choice? Have you ever looked for an opportunity to undo the mistakes you made in your life? Obviously we have made all the mistakes in our lives that make us wish we had another chance. Jonah's experience reminds us that there is such a place, and we serve God who will use those who repent and turn to Him.
Jonah discovers that he was given a second chance by God. (verse 1) "Now the word of the Lord has come to Jonah a second time..." Our failures may leave us to realize that God will never bless us again, and we are useless in God's work and failed to accomplish his plans. But Jonah knew that God was giving him a second chance, so we must too. Our God is the God of second chance. If we find that everything is wrong with ourselves, let us stand up and surrender ourselves before God. Only God is able and gracious to lead us into a victorious life. He is able to rebuild our lives.
To the world anything that is broken is useless, But for God things that are broken are useful and precious.
