Jesus still calls us to follow Him today

LUKE 18:18-30
A good and rich lawyer came to Jesus and asked him with great respect, "Good teacher, what should I do to gain external life?" Jesus answered him, "Why do you call me good? There is no one good except God alone", Jesus was trying to say here that this man called him 'good' had given Him the status of God which actually was true. This man had everything he needed in life, he either felt something important missing or maybe he felt too self-righteous. He asked Jesus, "What should I do to have an external life?" Jesus told him to obey the law, to which he replied that he had been following all the necessary rules since his childhood. At the same time, Jesus told him to do one more thing, which was to sell all his possessions, distribute the money to the poor, and follow him. The man returned sad and walked away. Do you know what was wrong with this rich man? First of all, this rich man was known only by Jesus as a good teacher and nothing more than that. Second, for this rich man, money was God. Third, this rich man had to choose between Jesus and wealth and unfortunately he decided to choose the latter, To become a disciple of Jesus, we must follow Him. There is no other option. Jesus still calls us to follow Him today, but are we willing to give up ourselves and follow Him? The choice is ours.

I would rather choose to call myself follower instead believer because believers can believe simply by living inside their rooms but followers ought to get up and follow up Jesus’s footsteps no matter how difficult or good roads they have to deal with.
Note: Demons believe God as well as shudder.(James 2:19)
Today let’s decide - What you indeed want to be? - A mere believer who are only believing and living inside the room or A follower who always believes and follows his footsteps in their ups and downs?
