Where do you go when you're faced with challenges and failures?

Where do you go when you're faced with challenges and failures?

(Galatians 1:13-18)

If you understand or know that failure can strike at any point in your life, then you should be ready for it. From the beginning of His earthly life, Jesus was ready for the crucifixion. Paul was prepared for failure and suffering.  His preparation began on the dusty road to Damascus where Jesus encountered him and called him on a new mission in life. Saul was transformed to Paul. Then he spent three years in the Arabian desert (Galatians 1:17-18) preparing his mind, body, and spirit for God's mission. Change and failure will not ruin your life when you are ready. You will ask the right questions and take the right steps.

We are not only called to be prepared for failure but we must be prepared to respond with renewed faith in the Lord. Don't try to put all the pieces back together on your own. You will fall, but God does not fail, and for that we need to turn to the Lord for His strength. I love the story of Jacob in the Bible. Despite all his failures, one thing he did not forget was to cling on to the Lord. He said to God, "Unless you bless me, I will not let you go" (Genesis 32:22-32). Jacob knew what it was like to be a failure, a cheater and a deceiver. And he also knew whom to go to in his difficult and troubled times. He fought with God to bless him, and eventually God changed his name from Jacob to Israel. Where do you go when you're faced with challenges, difficulties, failures or setbacks? We must turn to God and rely on His faithfulness and promises. Because He alone is faithful and trust worthy of everything.
