Day 10
We must never give up
Stephen, a man full of God's grace and power, was performing great wonders and miraculous sings among the people. But many of the Jews stood against him, and sought to argue with him, but they could not go against his wisdom because the Spirit of God was with him. So he accused as a blasphemer. And then when he becomes so brave that it pierces people's hearts and they get upset and raged. They ran together at him and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. Stephen saw heaven opened and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Before he died, he cried out in a loud voice, "Lord do not charge them with this sin."
When the Spirit of God actively leads Stephen; Satan is also active in destroying good works. We must always be aware that when God is at work in our lives; Satan uses tricks to pull us down. And many times it can happen in our own trusted groups. However, Stephen was very committed and willing to sacrifice his life for Christ. Likewise, we must never give up or lose our heart when our opposition comes to our way; because it is an opportunity to feel closer to God and a good time to express how much we love the Lord.
