Don't allow the smallest seed of sin to take root in your life
When the brothers saw Joseph coming, they planned to kill him. Why?
Genesis 37: 12-20
It's all probably started in v.2 when Joseph brought bad news about his brothers. That thing sowed the seed of wrath in their hearts. Because The gift of the coat and the father's love for Joseph more than any of his other sons aroused the anger on them so that by V.4 they began to hate him and couldn't speak kind words to him. Then V. 8 After reporting the dreams, it says, "They hated him even more." V.11 It gradually grew into jealousy. These attitudes grew in their hearts until v.18 they conspired to murder his brother Joseph. Sin is like a cancer if left untreated, will grow continuously until it destroys life. If the doctor tells you that you have a small tumor in your brain, you tell him, "Get it out before it grows."
We must not allow even the smallest seed of sin to take root in our lives. As soon as we begin to allow the sin in our lives, we are on the path to death. As happened in the lives of Joseph's brothers; It grew and bore bad fruit. Song of Songs 2:15 speaks about the 'little foxes' that destroys the vineyards. These seeds of sin might seem small or insignificant seeds but ultimately that can bring drastic disaster to our spiritual life. Don't allow the little seed of sin to grow and to ruin your life.
Stay Blessed!
