what will happen when we dedicate our lives to Jesus?
Sometimes it feels awful or bad to let ourselves die. Most people prefer to be praised, exalted, and promoted. But dying to ourselves is crucial in God's kingdom.
A lump of clay needs to be molded into something else in order to turn into a piece of art. Basically paint has to be poured out from the container before it can be utilized for a masterpiece. To form a diamond, a carbon needs to change. To transform into an amazing butterfly, the caterpillar has to leave behind its old ways of life.
In fact, the invitation to die is an invitation to live.
When we dedicate ourselves to God, we make the decision to surrender our goals, aspirations, and our gifts/talents. But that may be difficult. However, we are also certain that on the other side, there's something and someone better.
God is able to reshape our desires, rearrange our goals, and use our talents for his glory. The author of Galatians, the apostle Paul, was profoundly acquainted with the transformative power of Christ. Power of Christ drastically transformed Paul from someone who weirdly persecuted believers, into an ardent follower of Jesus. After that encounter, Paul knew that the only way to live was by surrendering every aspect of his life to Christ. And that's why He urges us to do the same because of this reason.
Without first being crucified, Jesus could not have been raised from the dead and the same is true for us. So what does Jesus need from you today? What action, habit/behavior, or thoughts? Give Jesus permission to renew and change your life by surrendering your life to Him in your current situation.

Lord, I give my life to you. Take control every aspect of my life and please take it away which does not honour you. I give you all of my doubts, anxieties, selfish desires, and broken heart. Please put an end to those things so I can feel your beautiful presence. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
