Prayer is a powerful tool
A man once was questioned:
What is the "advantage" of praying to God on a regular basis?
He responded, "Normally, "I earn nothing except losing everything."
So he listed all he had lost whilst regularly praying to God:
- My pride was destroyed.
- My ego was destroyed.
- I had enough of greed but I lost after praying.
- I had lost my evil desire.
- I lost my anger.
- I lost my lust desire.
- I had lost pleasure in lying.
- The taste of sin had faded from my mouth.
- I let go of my frustration, sorrow, and hopelessness.
- Despair and disappointment.
Often we pray not for anything to be obtained, but for the things to be taken away from us that prevent us from growing spiritually.
Prayer is a powerful tool for educating, strengthening, and healing our spirit as well as flesh.
Prayer is the method by which we are able to communicate directly with God."
