We need counselors and mentors in our lives
God speaks to us in different ways. He speaks to us through the Bible, the preaching of God's people, dreams and visions, prophecies, through nature, circumstances, through still small voice, through people, and so on. One of the common way God reveals His will, plan and purpose in our lives is through counselors. The Bible says that fools think that their own way is right, but the wise people listen to the advices (Proverbs 12:15). We all need counselors and when counselors are plentiful we are safe (Proverbs 11:14). Therefore, let us surround ourselves with wise counselors. God will definitely reveal His will in our lives through them. Counselors help shape our lives but more than that it helps us see God's will clearly in our lives.
Can we recognize God's voice in our lives? When we look at the life of a little boy Samuel (1Samuel: 1-18), the best thing he did was to run to Eli and Eli helped him to recognize the voice of God. We need counselors and mentors like Eli in our lives who helps us to recognize God's voice as He speaks to us. And if we are already reconciled with God, then we are called to help them to recognize God's voice. Are you interested?
